Position Summary: We are seeking a results-driven Contract Capital Project Manager to join our Capital Engineering group and help deliver a backlog of high-priority projects in our specialty chemical manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong ownership, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and consistently drive projects to completion.
Key Responsibilities: - Translate business objectives into actionable capital project goals.
- Evaluate and document noncapital alternatives to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and effective resource allocation throughout project lifecycles.
- Establish and maintain robust team communications, aligning project and business objectives with production design requirements.
- Manage project budgets and schedules, maintaining accountability for total project cost and investment.
- Serve as primary liaison between Project Team and Business Unit Steering Team.
- Follow established capital project work processes and practices per company procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of front-end loading (FEL) deliverables and gate reviews.
- Prepare project funding documentation.
- Oversee commissioning and turnover plans, as well as development of operations and maintenance procedures.
- Lead validation of project economics and collaborate with construction leaders to resolve design issues impacting construction performance.
Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing capital projects in refinery or chemical plant environments.
- Experience working in OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) regulated facilities strongly preferred
- PMP certification is a big plus
- Familiarity with SAP, Ecosys, and Microsoft Project strongly desired.
