  • Develop and execute Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding
  • Lead the execution of funding processes with external stakeholders
  • Report on Palmetto Finance activities to key financial stakeholders
  • Enhance existing workflows for efficiency in collaboration with other teams
  • Liaise with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key banks and external partners

Location

This position is preferred to be located at our HQ in Charlotte, NC, but we are open to remote for the right person.

Reporting

This role will report to the Director, Capital Markets.

Department Description

Palmetto Capital is a branch of Palmetto focused on the democratization of the renewable energy industry. We provide homeowners with financial products to benefit from solar power, home efficiency products, and energy storage systems. We empower solar sales professionals and solar installation companies with access to our proprietary platform, financing, customer management system, and milestone submission system. Summary of Role

The Capital Markets Associate will be responsible for capital markets activities spanning across capital raising, execution, and modeling work to support the advancement of those opportunities. This is an individual contributor role.

Strategic & Tactical
  • Focus on developing and executing Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding
  • Lead the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
  • Responsible for reporting associated with Palmetto Finance to key financial stakeholders, while partnering with technology teams to ensure automation on reports
  • Utilizes skills to enhance existing processes and workflows for more efficiency, partnering closely with other teams e.g. Data Analytics, Operations, etc
  • Liaisons with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting to ensure partnership and transparency on all things Palmetto Finance
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key banks and other key external partners
  • Is highly attuned to customer needs and requirements, and can anticipate their needs, and provide tailored solutions to meet their objectives
