Overview

As a Capital Strat, you will develop analytics, forecasting tools, and scalable front-office solutions that support capital, expected credit loss, and financial resource management. You will partner across Front Office, Treasury, Credit Risk Management, Finance, and Technology to deliver robust modelling, planning, and scenario analysis capabilities with strong controls. Your work will directly support capital efficiency, senior management decision-making, and the Bank's broader objective to allocate constrained resources effectively. Deutsche Bank is investing heavily in digital capabilities and long-term platform modernization, which means you will have the opportunity to shape solutions that have measurable impact across the franchise.

What You'll Do
  • Develop capital and expected credit loss analytics to support financial resource management and performance decision-making
  • Establish capital forecasting tools that incorporate regulatory impacts, business plans, and scenario analysis requirements
  • Assist in building, enhancing, and calibrating credit risk capital models using historical default and recovery data
  • Drive alignment across Front Office, Credit Risk Management, and Finance on financial resource calculations and methodology implementation
  • Build robust analytics, planning, and controls for capital, shareholder value added, and performance management processes
  • Support capital management activities and provide analytical insight for senior management decisions


How You'll Lead
  • Partner with Front Office, Treasury, Credit Risk Management, Finance, and Technology stakeholders to align priorities, requirements, and delivery plans
  • Influence capital management outcomes by translating complex regulatory, model, and business requirements into practical analytics and platform capabilities
  • Contribute to governance, controls, and senior management communication for capital forecasting, capital efficiency, and performance management initiatives


Skills You'll Need
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience applying modelling techniques to capital, credit risk, or financial resource management topics
  • Strong programming skills, including C++ and Python
  • Experience building scalable analytics, forecasting tools, or risk and capital management platforms
  • Understanding of regulatory capital, expected credit loss, credit risk models, or capital efficiency concepts
  • Ability to work with historical default, recovery, financial, or risk data to support model development and calibration

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $155,000 to $252,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
