Duties: Conduct research and analysis on the hedge fund and alternative investment industry, synthesizing data sets to identify trends, market developments, and investment themes. Develop data-driven content pieces including white papers, industry reports, presentations, and thought leadership articles tailored to a sophisticated financial audience. Present research findings and industry insights to internal stakeholders, clients, and executive audiences. Monitor and analyze industry developments, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to identify emerging trends and opportunities for future content and client advisory. Establish and maintain relationships with industry professionals, clients, and internal partners to enhance market intelligence and inform content strategy. Provide consultative support to clients and colleagues, leveraging industry expertise to address client needs and support business development initiatives. Mentor junior colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Capital Advisory, Hedge Fund and Asset Management, Credit Risk Management, Corporate Banking, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Advising CIO and executive team members at hedge funds on strategy including the nuances between core Hedge Fund strategies such as Credit, Equity LS, Macro, Statistical Arbitrage, or Relative Value; Advising COO and executive team members at hedge funds on structuring vehicles, the implications of structure changes, feeder and master models, and implications of share classes and feeder funds; Analyzing different styles used by investors for their hedge fund portfolios, including by geography and by investor type such as Family office, Endowments, Fund of Funds, or Sovereign Wealth Funds; Providing and talking through structured solutions for both hedge funds and investors on bank products including Fund Linked Products, Margin Loans, and Nexus; Providing guidance on suitable vendors to solve problems such as OMS or PMS systems; Manipulating data received from surveys into digestible tables and charts using Excel functionalities including pivot tables, index match functions, and vlookup; Developing, writing, and presenting research and market commentary for internal and external audiences.
Job Location: 270 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel to client sites and conferences.
Full-Time. Salary: $215,000.00-$285,000.00 per year.
