Full Job Description
The Capability Manager, Data & Reporting is responsible for defining, governing, and advancing the data, analytics, and reporting capabilities that support the Directed Spend business. This role serves as the business owner for client reporting, data strategy, reporting governance and data-driven decision support.

The Capability Manager partners closely with Product, Technology, Account Management, Operations, Finance, Client Services, and Analytics teams to ensure data assets, reporting solutions, and business intelligence capabilities are aligned with strategic business objectives and support scalable growth.

This individual will drive the vision, roadmap, and execution of reporting and analytics initiatives while ensuring data quality, consistency, transparency, and operational effectiveness across the Directed Spend ecosystem. The role is expected to establish a data-first culture by transforming how business stakeholders access, consume, and leverage information to make decisions.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

Data & Reporting Strategy

  • Align reporting priorities with business objectives, operational goals, client requirements, and leadership initiatives


Reporting Product Ownership

  • Act as business owner for Directed Spend reporting capabilities, including internal operational reporting, client reporting, executive scorecards, dashboards, and self-service analytics


Data Governance & Quality

  • Establish and maintain reporting governance frameworks, data standards, business definitions, and data dictionaries


Analytics & Insights

  • Enable predictive and descriptive analytics that improve business operations and client outcomes


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, Account Management, Client Services, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams


Operational Excellence

  • Establish reporting intake, prioritization, and governance processes


Success Measures

  • Within the first 12 months, the Capability Manager is expected to:
  • Establish a comprehensive Data & Reporting roadmap for Directed Spend
  • Implement standardized KPI and metric governance across key business functions
  • Improve reporting accuracy, consistency, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Increase adoption of self-service reporting and analytics capabilities
  • Reduce manual reporting effort through automation and modernization initiatives
  • Create executive visibility into client, operational, financial, and platform performance metrics
  • Strengthen partnership between business stakeholders, analytics teams, and technology organizations

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, product management, capability management, or related disciplines
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving reporting, analytics, or data governance
  • Proven experience defining business requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of KPI development, reporting governance, metric standardization, and data quality practices
  • Proven communication, presentation, facilitation, and executive engagement skills
  • Travel up to 10%


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within (select all that apply) healthcare, health plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, financial services, fintech, benefits administration, payments, or healthcare technology organizations
  • Experience with (select all that apply) Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Azure Data Platform, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar analytics technologies
  • Proven knowledge of (select all that apply) Agile, Scrum, and product delivery frameworks

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
