The Capability Manager - Business Applications is a technically strong individual contributor responsible for partnering with business functions and enabling the successful delivery, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications across corporate domains including Finance, Procurement, Commercial, and other business functions.
Reporting to the Business Applications leadership team, this role owns end-to-end system capabilities including configuration, integration, support, and continuous improvement. The position bridges technical execution with strategic planning, driving project delivery in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders including business teams, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, vendors, and auditors.

Key Responsibilities- Serve as the IT business enablement lead for enterprise applications supporting Finance, Procurement, Commercial, and other corporate functions.
- Lead configuration, administration, and continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on scalability, integration, automation, and user experience.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, compliant technology solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure integrations between enterprise systems and internal/external applications, ensuring data integrity and seamless process flow.
- Provide advanced application support, coordinating with managed service providers and vendors to ensure service-level commitments and continuous service improvement.
- Lead testing activities including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and release/cutover planning.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and data quality while driving optimization opportunities and technical debt reduction.
- Support compliance and audit activities, ensuring proper documentation, controls, and audit readiness.
- Maintain system documentation, knowledge articles, and user guides to support adoption and operational excellence.
- Provide regular updates regarding project delivery, system health, and enhancement roadmaps.
- Stay current with industry trends and identify opportunities for innovation and business value creation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders regarding system capabilities, risks, vendor performance, and transformation initiatives.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant enterprise application certifications preferred.
- Project management certifications (PMP, Agile, etc.) are a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise business application delivery, development, and support.
- Experience supporting Finance, Procurement, and/or Commercial business functions.
- Experience with enterprise planning and forecasting platform implementations strongly preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with ERP, procurement, planning, integration, and other enterprise application platforms.
- Working knowledge of integration technologies such as APIs, SFTP, and middleware.
- Understanding of financial planning, reporting, monthly close processes, analytics, and related business operations.
- Experience supporting compliance, audit, and regulated-environment requirements.
- Experience working with SaaS vendors and managing issue resolution through ticketing systems.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.
- Knowledge of IT service management, incident management, and change management practices preferred.

Compensation: Up to $175,000 annually
Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
