Shape the Future Through Insight

At Capital Group, our mission is to improve people's lives through successful investing. Our Capital Associates Program (CAP) invites exceptional early-career talent who combine deep curiosity, analytical rigor, collaborative leadership, and independent thinking to help us explore some of the world's most complex and consequential investment questions.

CAP is a highly selective, immersive global rotation program for those who want to think deeply, challenge assumptions, and develop the judgment and skills to build a long-term career in investing.

A Truly Differentiated Experience

As a CAP Associate, you will investigate complex investment questions that require original insight, careful judgment, and the ability to synthesize information across industries, markets and disciplines.

The emphasis is on rigorous research: examining industries, assessing long-term trends, asking thoughtful questions, and developing well-reasoned perspectives when answers are rarely obvious. You'll share your own research approach, explore ideas in depth, and produce thoughtful analyses that contribute to Capital Group's long-term investment thinking.

CAP Associates have recently researched and presented recommendations/insights on:
  • Data Centers in Space
  • Valuation Frameworks for Bitcoin and Gold
  • Emerging Market Debt in North Macedonia, Albania and Montenegro
  • The Lifecycle of U.S. Apparel and Footwear Brands
  • Growth of Indian Quick-Service Restaurant Industry
  • Quantum Computing Supply Chain and Implications for CMOS Manufacturing
  • Japan Satellite Companies
  • Potential Applications of Hydrogen in Decarbonizing Mobility
  • Energy Storage and Global Lithium

These aren't hypothetical exercises. CAP Associates explore real-world investment questions and contribute differentiated insights to our investment dialogue.

How You'll Contribute and Develop
  • Own Substantive Research: Lead end-to-end investment research projects that reward curiosity, intellectual discipline, and strong communication. You'll frame questions, conduct deep analysis, develop your perspective, and present well-supported conclusions to experienced investors.
  • Develop Through Practice: Strengthen your analytical reasoning, investigative approach, judgment, and communication skills through hands-on research, close collaboration with investor mentors, and targeted development sessions.
  • Learn Alongside Experienced Investors: Work closely with analysts and portfolio managers to understand how rigorous inquiry, qualitative and quantitative analyses, and independent thinking contribute to investment decisions.
  • Join a Global Community of Thinkers: Join a small, high-caliber cohort of Associates across London, Los Angeles, and Singapore united by intellectual curiosity and an interest in investing.

  • Analytical Rigor and Learning Agility: The ability to absorb new ideas quickly, interrogate assumptions, work through complex problems, and develop well-supported insights.
