Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical Calc Engineer (also known as a Simulation Engineer) to support the development and optimization of engineered systems through computational analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and programming, with experience implementing analytics in risk or calculation engines to generate valuation, return, and first-order risk measures.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct simulations and computational analyses to evaluate product/system performance under various conditions.
- Assess load capacity, stability, material resilience, and service life using simulation tools.
- Optimize designs by analyzing simulation data and recommending improvements.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations, and justifications based on simulation results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate simulation insights into design processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory codes in all calculations and documentation.
- Implement analytics in risk/calc engines to support valuation and portfolio risk measures.
- Apply knowledge of equity and fixed income products, exchange-traded derivatives, portfolio analysis, fund accounting, and NAV calculation.
Required Qualifications- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Strong knowledge of Linear Algebra, Statistics, and Time Series Analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL.
- Experience with simulation software such as CAESAR II, Pipestress, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools for modeling and analysis.
- Experience in scripting and automating calculations.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
