Control Panels USA is seeking an experienced CAD
Manager to join our growing team for a full-time role. In general, the CAD Manager is responsible for leading a team of CAD drafters and developing detailed design drawings and related specifications for the manufacturing of control panels.
Standard business days and hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Salary Based on ExpResponsibilities include:
- Lead, manage and mentor a team of CAD Drafters
- Ensure CAD Team adheres to CP USA standards thus providing consistent drawings
- Generate and/or revise schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, physical equipment assembly drawings
- Analyze markups from production and revise drawings to reflect finished product
- Brainstorm with CAD Team to continue improving methods and procedures
- Meet with Project Managers to review upcoming projects
- Review cost estimates to ensure correct parts are utilized on drawings
- May create designs based on contract drawings and specifications
- Adhere to timelines as set forth by Project Managers
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; develop solutions; prepare reports; make recommendations to management
- Any other task, assignments, duty, or projects, as requested by management
Requirements: - 3+ years of team management experience
- 5+ years of experience using AutoCAD
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including schematics and electrical product guidelines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to follow direction and procedures
- Ability to work on multiple projects at time
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Detail oriented
