Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Independent Retail Pharmacist to join our community-focused pharmacy team.
As an Independent Retail Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in providing personalized healthcare services and patient-centered care.
You will build strong relationships with customers and ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
This role is critical in providing patient-focused care, fostering community trust, and contributing to the well-being of the local population.
The personalized, customer-oriented approach of our independent pharmacy sets us apart from chain retailers.
You will be responsible for all areas of retail pharmaceutical services, including procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Compounding and dispensing prescribed medications for patient care.
Reviewing prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy.
Directing pharmacy workers in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
Providing information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage as needed.
Engaging patients in customer service programs and program integrations.
Maintaining established procedures concerning quality assurance and security of controlled substances.
Entering data such as patient names and prescribed medications to maintain pharmacy files and inventory.
Instructing interns and other pharmacy personnel while maintaining appropriate ratios as required by law.
Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to company policies.
Developing and maintaining good working relationships with healthcare professionals.
Keeping abreast of new items, changing laws, and pharmacy-related programs through continuing education.
Managing difficult customer situations effectively and soliciting feedback to improve service.
You must adhere to a professional appearance and complete annual education requirements as applicable.
You will need to maintain regulatory compliance and attend all required meetings.
Your willingness to work beyond normal working hours and temporarily assume other positions when necessary is essential.
You must function independently and effectively collaborate with other personnel.
Physical Requirements:
You should be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, walk, and move intermittently during working hours.
You must be able to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
