Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Independent Retail Pharmacist to join our community-focused pharmacy team.
As an Independent Retail Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in providing personalized healthcare services and patient-centered care.

Position Qualifications:
You must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of California.
You should have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or a Pharm.D. from an accredited college.
Current BLS certification is required.
You must meet the requirements set forth by federal, state, and local laws, guidelines, and regulations governing retail pharmaceutical services.

Specific Competencies:
You will compound and dispense prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.
Reviewing prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers is necessary to ensure accuracy.
You will direct pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
Answer questions and provide information to pharmacy customers regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
Actively engage with patients regarding customer service programs offered.
Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
Data entry such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost is required to maintain pharmacy files and inventory.
Instruct interns and other pharmacy personnel, maintaining correct pharmacist to technician and pharmacist to intern ratios per regulations.
Awareness of third-party Rx systems must be maintained, and prompt resolution of third-party rejection problems is required.
Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policy regarding medication incidents.
Maintain awareness of loss prevention controls and procedures.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with healthcare professionals.
Synthesize complex or diverse information and use intuition and experience to complement data.
Pursue training and development opportunities to keep up-to-date with new items, changing laws, and pharmacy-related programs.
Manage difficult or emotional customer situations promptly.
Solicit customer feedback to improve service and maintain confidentiality.
