Job Title: Senior C++ Developer (Linux, Sybase, AI-Assisted Development)Overview / Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior C++ Developer with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in C++ application development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern C++ standards, Linux/Unix development, software engineering best practices, and AI-assisted software development tools to build, maintain, and optimize high-performance applications.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance C++ applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Optimize application performance and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Utilize AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in C++ application development.
- Strong knowledge of C++11/14/17 standards and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Experience with multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and STL.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.
- Experience with Linux/Unix development environments.
- Knowledge of design patterns and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar AI coding assistants.
- Experience with AI-assisted code generation, refactoring, debugging, and unit test creation.
- Experience with prompt engineering for software development tasks.
- Experience with AI-assisted documentation and code review.
- Ability to validate, optimize, and secure AI-generated code.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to mentor team members and share technical knowledge.
- Passion for continuous learning and adopting modern AI-assisted development practices.
Desired Skills - Experience with CMake, Makefiles, or other build systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and network programming.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Google Test.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms or containerization is an added advantage.
