C-17 Structural Analysis Design Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level or Senior)
Position Responsibilities:- Collaborate with other C-17 Stress Analysts to qualify repairs and modifications to the C-17 aircraft utilizing computer-aided and classical methods
- Document and publish/release structural designs and analysis results
- Become skilled in C-17 specific Tools, Processes, and Documentation
- Work towards eligibility to be granted C-17 Delegated Engineering Authority
- Supervise and train early-career team members
- Some travel may be required
- May be asked to support other programs or perform other duties as needed
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 1+ years' experience with aircraft stress analysis/structural analysis
- 1+ years' experience with finite element modeling structural analysis methods and tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):- 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc) (Level 3)
- Design and repair of aerospace metallic and composite structures
- Collaboration with team members
- Use of: NASTRAN, PATRAN, CAS-D, ABAQUS, NX, Teamcenter, CSW
- Support of McDonnell Douglas Corporation products such as: DC-8, DC-9/MD-80/MD-90/717, DC-10/KC-10/MD-11, C-17, F-15, F/A-18, AV-8B
- 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc) (Level 4)
- Leading, teaching within discipline
- Active U.S. Security Clearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $90,950 - $123,050
Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $111,350 - $150,650
Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4): $135,150 - $182,850
