THE WORK
The C-130J Pilot Subject Matter Expert will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs, ensuring that high-quality training is provided to meet the needs of C-130J aircrew. To achieve this, the SME will collaborate with other subject matter experts, instructors, Instructional Systems Design (ISD) personnel, and training staff to develop and implement effective training solutions.

The SME's primary responsibilities will include:
• Developing, editing, maintaining, and reviewing curriculum, course materials, objectives, and syllabi for new and existing courses
• Providing expert instruction to company personnel on C-130J operations, courseware, and Instructor Operating Station (IOS) operations
• Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of C-130J aircraft systems, normal operating procedures, emergency procedures, local area procedures, safety procedures, and courseware requirements
• Training Delivery and Evaluation

This will involve:
Designing and instructing simulator profiles, including briefings, mission management, and debriefings
Evaluating, diagnosing, and critiquing student performance
Identifying learning difficulties and prescribing remedial instruction
Delivering and evaluating instrument/qualification and mission training to initial and requalification students
Provide currency and refresher training for qualified C-130J crewmembers
Record-Keeping and Reporting

By combining technical expertise with instructional skills, the C-130J Pilot Subject Matter Expert will ensure that training programs are effective, efficient, and meet the needs of C-130J aircrew.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :
- Four (4) year Bachelor's degree in closely related discipline.
- All Contractor Courseware SMEs shall have a minimum of eight (8) years flying experience, at least five (5) years of military flying experience with at least 200 hours of experience as a flight instructor in MDS (C-130J).
-Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
This role requires US Citizenship.

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
