Title:
C-130 Avionics SME

KBR is hiring an experienced C-130 Avionics SME to support avionics integration, modernization, and sustainment for C-130J and C-130H aircraft, including systems that interface with propeller control systems such as NP2000, R391, and 54H60 electronic control units. This role ensures avionics and propulsion-related systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with Air Force and OEM requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support avionics system design, integration, troubleshooting, and modernization for C-130J digital avionics and C-130H legacy/modernized systems
  • Review and interpret wiring diagrams, ICDs, avionics architecture documents, and MIL-STD-1553/ARINC data bus interfaces
  • Evaluate avionics interfaces with propeller control systems, including EPCS, DECU, FADEC, and NP2000 electronic propeller controls
  • Support avionics upgrades such as ADS-B, GPS/INS, TACAN, CNS/ATM, mission-computer enhancements, and cockpit modernization
  • Conduct system-level troubleshooting for navigation, communication, flight-control, and mission-system anomalies
  • Provide engineering input for ground/flight test procedures, certification activities, and airworthiness assessments
  • Develop engineering documentation, test plans, and technical reports
