Full Job Description
The Team

As part of the Manufacturing organization, Supply Chain secures the materials, equipment, and supplier partnerships required to support manufacturing and business operations. The team builds resilient supply chains while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery performance.

The Role

The Buyer owns purchasing execution for assigned commodities and programs, from PO placement through on-time, on-quality, on-cost material delivery. This role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Finance to keep the program and production on schedule, and scales in scope and ownership from tactical execution to daily supplier relationship management and cross-functional problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end purchasing and ordering execution for assigned commodities/programs, including creation and tracking of Purchase Orders, Transfer Orders, and Returns.
  • Own the accuracy of open POs. Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks and delays.
  • Drive on-time, on-quality, and on-cost PO placement, tracking, and delivery.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, and Supplier Quality to ensure parts and purchasing activities comply with nuclear industry regulatory requirements (10 CFR 830) and to maintain accurate purchasing records.
  • Partner with Engineering, Sourcing, and Quality to build and manage strong supplier relationships, managing expedites, schedule pull-ins/push-outs, and engineering changes.
  • Resolve discrepancies in goods receipts and invoices to ensure timely supplier payment.
  • Contribute to the development of supply chain short- and medium-term goals, processes, procedures, and KPIs. Support ERP/MRP system selection and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export laws, and certifications.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware purchasing or supply chain, in an ERP-driven environment.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment with a strong sense of urgency. Detail-oriented, results-driven, strong communicator, and team player.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Nuclear industry experience
  • CPIM certification
  • Start-up | Fast growth company experience a plus.
