Job Summary:

As a Buyer, Contracts at Centrus Energy, you'll be the link that keeps our advanced enrichment operations running smoothly. You'll handle specialized procurements-from high-tech equipment and materials to expert services and staff augmentation-ensuring everything we buy meets quality, cost, and compliance standards. This is a role where curiosity meets precision, and every purchase helps power the next generation of clean energy innovation.

What You Will Do:

You'll lead the full procurement lifecycle-reviewing purchase requests and technical data packages, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts that deliver value and reliability. You'll analyze pricing, assess supplier performance, and ensure compliance with internal policies and Federal acquisition regulations. Whether it's working with engineers on complex specs, negotiating fair deals, or managing supplier relationships, you'll play a key role in ensuring that Centrus gets the right materials, services, and talent at the right time.

We'd Love to Hear from People With:
  • A Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field-or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5 years of hands-on procurement experience in a technical or regulated environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience evaluating cost and price data for different contract types (fixed-price, time & materials, etc.).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a "Q" clearance

A Successful Candidate Brings:
  • Experience with Oracle procurement modules and SharePoint tools.
  • Working knowledge of government acquisition requirements (FAR, DEAR).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).
  • An active or previously held Q-level security clearance

Pay:

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $76,010 - 126,683. This position is incentive eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
