YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Lead, Business Systems is management role that bridges the gap between a company's business needs and technology solutions. This role analyzes current systems, identifies opportunities for improvement, and supports the design and implementation of technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency. The role works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, document processes, support testing, and enable successful system adoption

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Lead and guide a team focused on the technology needs of internal stakeholders.

  • Validate that all labor and material forecasting accurately aligns with production scheduling with different departments to understand business needs, identify pain points, and gather detailed functional requirements for new or improved systems.

  • Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and support opportunities for automation and optimization through technology solutions.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, designing system architecture, and selecting appropriate software tools.

  • Lead and support implementation of new systems, including configuration, data migration, and user training.

  • Lead and assist in developing and executing test plans, including test case execution and defect documentation to ensure system quality and functionality.

  • Provide ongoing technical support to users, troubleshooting issues, and answering questions regarding system operations.

  • Analyze system data to identify trends, measure performance, and recommend improvements, scope, timeline, and budget of system development projects.

  • Support and drive the company’s analytics strategy, roadmap, and best practices to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs using tools such as Power BI to support business decision-making.

  • Support analytics initiatives by applying statistical and predictive modeling techniques to structured datasets. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems, reports, and analytics outputs.

  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of system initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and experience with enterprise systems such as Oracle or similar platforms.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

  • Self-motivated and proactive with strong problem-solving and execution skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

COMPETENCIES:
  • Strong understanding of MPS business operations, processes, and goals across different departments.

  • Proficiency in ACC and a deep understanding of database structures and data relationships.

  • Expertise in using data visualization tools such as Power BI to transform complex data into meaningful insights. Proven ability to apply statistical and/or machine learning methods to solve business problems, and experience in data modeling and predictive analytics.

  • Strong passion for data, analytics, and continuous learning, with a commitment to staying current on emerging tools, methods, and technologies.

  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make strategic recommendations based on insights.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, analytics or related field.

  • 7–10+ years of experience in business systems, analytics, data science, or related operational/technical roles.

  • 5+ years of experience in project or program support, leading workstreams or system initiatives (not full program ownership).

  • Experience working with enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle) and large datasets.

TRAVEL: 10-25 %

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
