Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Engage with users across various supply chain departments to address queries and concerns.
  • Manage multiple tasks and solve problems daily, ensuring all issues are tracked to resolution.
  • Act as a systems analyst, providing support and guidance on the application’s processes and policies.
  • Identify and communicate both technical and functional issues related to business system applications to users and IT.
  • Contribute to the development and testing of new application features and upgrades.
  • Generate reports for diverse departments and train users on report tools.
  • Enhance integration between legacy and current business systems.

Overview

Do you enjoy analyzing systems and processes? Do you thrive in solving complex problems?  If so, we are looking for a resource to support our Oracle EBS and SPARS applications in the Supply Chain Organization. This role will develop an understanding of Materials Management and Supply Chain activities to support end users with questions, issues and enhancements. This will be a high visibility, fast paced position, and will require competencies such as strong communication, problem solving, critical thinking, and risk management skills.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Interacting with supply chain business system users including users within the EB technical community, material services, planning, purchasing, quality and warehousing organizations as well as Electric Boat’s supply base
  • Multi-tasking and problem solving on a daily basis; following up on issues to completion; documenting fixes
  • Serving as a systems analyst/support desk function for the business system application(s); advising users on process and policy adherence for the application(s)
  • Recognizing and communicating technical/functional problems with supply chain business system application(s).  Interacting with customers as well as IT development.
  • Actively participate in development and testing of supply chain business application(s) roll-out and enhancements
  • Creating reports for a multitude of EB departments as well as training others to use the reporting tool
  • Improving processes and integration between our legacy and current business systems
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, IT Systems or in lieu of degree, one plus years in Supply Chain or Oracle experience
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Experience with IT and business systems
  • Experience using Oracle or SAP systems

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience working within Supply Chain policies and processes
  • Experience with application development or SDLC
  • 2 or more years’ experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or SAP system integration, implementation, testing, training, etc.
  • SQL knowledge a plus
  • Dataloader knowledge a plus

 

Skills
  • Ability to analyze system issues and document business processes
  • Ability to gather business requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with taking on new challenges and problem solving
  • Support data fixes, setups and configurations changes in accordance with change management process.
  • Identify reoccurring issues and recommend process improvements or system enhancements to reduce production incidents.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
