About this opportunity:The Business Support Analyst support provides regional support and day-to-day coverage for the Canadian Commercial Business Support team. Reporting to the Team Lead, Commercial Business Support - Canada, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality commercial support, supporting project execution, and ensuring business and system processes are consistently aligned with enterprise standards. The Business Support Analyst works closely with Canadian Commercial stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into effective solutions. Combining hands-on ETRM functional support, project coordination, and collaboration across business, IT, and global teams, this role serves as a trusted problem solver and develops expertise in Commercial ETRM systems, connected applications, and business processes, becoming a recognized subject matter expert.
What you'll do:- Deliver timely, high-quality support for commercial systems, enhancements, and project initiatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, business drivers, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and support Commercial ETRM systems, related business processes, and system integrations.
- Coordinate testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Manage and track defects, enhancements, and operational issues through resolution and continuous improvement.
- Promote adherence to standard processes while identifying opportunities to address business gaps and evolving requirements.
- Provide functional expertise, training, and ongoing support to Commercial system users.
- Collaborate with Canadian and U.S. teams to drive consistency, knowledge sharing, and best practices across the organization.
Who you are:Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Post-secondary degree in Business Analytics, Business Technology Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience gathering business requirements, supporting process design, and developing functional documentation.
- Ability to support system implementations, enhancements, testing activities, and user adoption.
- Foundational understanding of relational data models, system integrations, and business applications.
- Knowledge of commodity marketing, supply, or downstream commercial operations, with a strong interest in commercial business processes.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
