Full Job Description
This role will support complex Product Support projects and initiatives across the organization, including TCAT and TMH, utilizing continuous process improvement and change management methodologies to create sustainable operational efficiencies as well as strategic process transformation. This will include participation in assigned Product Support projects; coordination and completion of projects, establishing and meeting deadlines, monitoring project progress, and providing project status reports, and finally deploying and handing off to operations. This role will work directly with internal, external, and third-party resources to ensure projects are completed within established budgets and established time frames.

Compensation

$78,705.00 to $98,380.00

The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package, and performance-based or discretionary bonuses may be available.

In a typical day, YOU will:

  • Develop, execute, and evaluate business transformation by understanding current state, assess and identify improvements through process mapping, data analysis and deep dives. Create the foundations, requirements, and MVP (Minimum Viable Product) for processes that can be automated and digitized, and hand-off streamlined processes to the Digital team for automation & digitization.
  • Identify how systems will integrate to provide the solution, this requires deep knowledge of end-to-end company systems and applications and platforms across all the divisions and departments, including: iQuote, IMACS, SMA, Segment Creator, Life Cycle Planner, PMQuote, PSQuote, EMT, Scheduler, DBS, CODA, PSMIS, PSSA, Toromont Hub, Toromont Equip 2.0, Cat Foresight, SOS Manager, REBUILD Quoter, MARC Quoter
  • Elicit requirements and drive process change using employee interviews/workshops, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, business analysis and workflow analysis. Play role of SME and program expert, acting as a point of escalation for support
  • Actively monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address in advance. Anticipate, assess, and negotiate appropriate adjustments to the project scope and deliverables with stakeholders and executive leadership; manage issue/risks with timely resolution. Monitor effectiveness of improvements post implementation. Provide recommendations on adjustment and streamlining of processes, including transformational change
  • Assist in a portfolio of Product Support projects considered highly complex and dynamic in nature, concurrently for improvement results that can be leveraged across divisions, departments, and roles, with a possibility to lead a team of Continuous Improvement Analysts, managing multiple streams of projects. Coordinate project resources including tools, equipment, people, etc. required to execute projects.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or transform processes and develop and implement strategies through advanced problem solving and process optimization. Utilize process mining to provide a view of business process that identifies & solves for inefficiencies. Develop operational policies and procedures and oversee the implementation and feedback process.
  • Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to assist in the definition of project scope, project objectives, to ensure feasibility. Manage changes to project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques, and ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within project scope and budget.
  • Directly support the formulation and implementation of operations strategic initiatives and the development of long-term goals and objectives, delivering sustainable improvement to the value streams, strategies, cross-functional processes and standardized, uniform policies and procedures
  • Leverage internal tools to gather critical data and validate business benefits and outcomes. Recommend opportunities using detailed business analysis and develop business cases to influence decision makers.
  • Measure project performance using project management tools and techniques and oversee reporting of KPI's to meet business objectives. Conduct audit data analytics to find actionable audit insight. Build Benchmark metrics and tracking systems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as a change agent by challenging business units to evaluate processes and recommend improvement initiatives; communicating changes and improvement to employees and promoting a continuous improvement culture.
  • Collaborate across Departments and Divisions to promote awareness of strategic business development processes, tools, methodologies, etc. Act as a liaison with customers to understand and improve company quality performance and partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with other stakeholders and senior leaders and work with them to address topics that impact their responsibilities and ownership.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the enterprise related to process, process performance management, end to end process assessments and improvement portfolio
  • Champion and teach disciplined root cause problem solving at all levels in the organization and organically grow a Lean Centre of Excellence in the company. Mobilize a Lean company culture through showcasing the value of lean skillsets & mindsets so that each business unit begins to develop this within their own teams
  • Complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects. Work with Enablement team to develop change management and communication plans appropriate to stakeholder needs and managing resistance to change


Must-haves for this role:

  • University degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering or similar discipline
  • 5-10 years of work experience in continuous improvement, process design, in a complex environment involving integration of multiple systems
  • Thorough working knowledge of Toromont systems and key interdependencies and business processes;
  • PMP certification would be an asset
  • Working knowledge and experience of PM principles
  • Six Sigma Certification/ experience would be an asset
  • Knowledge of ERP, workforce planning, work order management, etc
