This position can be based in Lynchburg, VA or Charlotte, NC, with hybrid work options available. Highly qualified candidates outside these locations may be considered for remote/hybrid employment; however, they must be able to travel to work onsite at one of our office locations for one week each month. To meet this requirement, remote candidates must have convenient access to a major commercial airport with consistent flight availability.

Summary

Delta Star Inc. is seeking a strategic and business-focused Business Solutions Manager to lead the company's enterprise business applications strategy and drive technology-enabled business transformation. This role is responsible for ensuring that Delta Star's business applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, integrations, and related solutions, align with organizational priorities, optimize business processes, and deliver measurable value. What You'll Do

As the Business Solutions Manager, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, governance, delivery, and continuous improvement of Delta Star's enterprise application portfolio. You'll partner with leaders across the organization to identify opportunities for process optimization, drive adoption of business technology solutions, and ensure applications support both current operations and future growth. Through leadership and collaboration, you'll help transform business requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions.

A Day in the Life

Your day may include meeting with business leaders to discuss process improvement opportunities, reviewing application enhancement priorities, evaluating solution architecture decisions, or collaborating with vendors on strategic initiatives. You'll balance operational support with long-term planning, ensuring business applications remain stable, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals. You'll also mentor team members, review project roadmaps, and oversee initiatives that improve business performance through technology.

Specific Duties

• Develop and execute the enterprise business applications strategy and roadmap to support organizational growth and operational excellence.
• Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and technology enablement.
• Ensure business processes are optimized through effective use of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and related enterprise applications.
• Provide leadership, governance, and oversight for the D365 ERP environment, Power Platform ecosystem, integrations, and enterprise application portfolio.
• Ensure solution designs and application architectures are scalable, supportable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Translate business priorities into technology initiatives, application enhancements, and strategic roadmaps.
• Review and approve solution designs, configurations, and architectural decisions across the business applications landscape.
• Prioritize projects, enhancements, and support activities to align with strategic business objectives.
• Monitor application performance, user adoption, and service levels, implementing improvements as needed.
• Lead vendor governance activities, including performance management, issue resolution, contract oversight, and delivery quality.
• Develop business cases, investment recommendations, and roadmap proposals for technology initiatives.
• Establish and maintain application governance frameworks and lifecycle management practices.
• Drive continuous improvement, adoption, and value realization across the application portfolio.
• Build, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience leading enterprise business solutions, ERP platforms, or business application portfolios.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams, technology portfolios, strategic initiatives, and vendor relationships.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, ERP, CRM, or related enterprise applications.
• Proven success aligning technology solutions with business priorities, operational efficiency, and measurable business outcomes.
• MBA, relevant industry experience, and/or professional certifications preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of enterprise business applications, ERP systems, systems integration, and application lifecycle management.
• Ability to develop and execute business application strategies that support organizational growth and transformation.

Travel Requirements

Approximately 10-20% travel to support business operations, project implementation, vendor engagements, and company locations.
