About your role:As a Business Risk Manager, you will support payment acceptance compliance activities across debit, electronic benefits transfer (EBT), and fleet card networks by interpreting network changes, assessing business impacts, and guiding response plans across Fiserv platforms and systems. You will work closely with channel partners, clients, and cross-functional teams to communicate requirements, resolve escalations, and help ensure network-related changes are implemented accurately and on time.
What you'll do:- Review debit, electronic benefits transfer (EBT), and fleet card network change documentation, release materials, and bulletin requests to identify business, platform, and system requirements.
- Analyze network-mandated changes across Fiserv systems and document operational impacts, client impacts, and associated business risks.
- Summarize change requirements and implementation impacts for clients, merchants, channel partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Create, distribute, and present materials for new programs, processes, and procedures related to debit network changes and releases.
- Educate internal teams, channel partners, and clients on network payment acceptance requirements, compliance matters, and release impacts.
- Provide payment acceptance subject matter expertise to support Fiserv employees, channels, and clients that require network-specific guidance.
- Act as an escalation point for highly escalated production issues, coordinate issue resolution, and communicate issue status and outcomes appropriately.
- Maintain network support grids, including escalation contacts and outage-related impact points across supported networks.
Experience you'll need to have:- 5+ years of experience in payment processing, including reviewing debit/credit, electronic benefits transfer (EBT), and fleet card network bulletins, releases, and mandated requirements.
- 5+ years of experience assessing business and system impacts for network changes across payment platforms, operational processes, and client-facing services.
- 5+ years of experience supporting production incidents, researching root causes, and driving issue resolution in a payment processing or network support environment.
- Experience using Fiserv mainframe tools and business applications including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat PDF, and DocuSign.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex network documentation, summarize requirements, and present business impacts clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel to sort, filter, and analyze data, including formulas and pivot tables.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, or a related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:- Experience supporting 30 or more debit, electronic benefits transfer (EBT), or fleet card networks.
- Experience presenting industry bulletins and mandates to financial institutions, technical partners, operational stakeholders, and key client contacts.
- Experience maintaining audit-ready tracking and reporting for industry bulletins, notices, and network mandates.
- Knowledge of network payment acceptance rules, compliance practices, and merchant or client communication processes.
How you'll work:- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
