DescriptionAbout the Role:Business Relationship Manager is responsible for implementing and growing the Business Lending program. Develops and maintains long term relationships with business owners within our field of membership. Champions and manages the origination of business loans and contributes to the successful achievement of the Business Services objectives, policies and practices. Responsible for personal production which drives and facilitates an environment of exceptional service and effective relationship building for business lending products and services at all member touch points.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:40 hours per week; Monday - Friday; 8:30 - 5:00pm
What you'll be doing:- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with business owners and referral partners throughout Bay Federal's market area.
- Serve as a primary relationship manager for business members, delivering exceptional service throughout the lending and credit management process.
- Originate business loans and analyze financial statements, credit, collateral, and other information to recommend appropriate lending solutions.
- Prepare credit memos, annual reviews, underwriting materials, and loan committee presentations that clearly identify and mitigate risk.
- Meet or exceed individual and department production goals while recommending competitive loan pricing strategies that support portfolio growth.
- Monitor credit quality and resolve documentation, collateral, past-due, and other credit exceptions.
- Coordinate the collection, verification, documentation, and closing of business loans to ensure an efficient member experience.
- Partner with branch teams and other departments to generate leads, strengthen business relationships, and cross-sell appropriate Credit Union products and services.
- Maintain compliance with applicable Business Lending regulations, policies, and procedures while recommending updates and improvements as needed.
- Plan and execute business development and calling efforts to grow Bay Federal's Business Lending portfolio and referral network.
You're Perfect For This Role If You Have: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Loan Officer with proven results.
- Strong financial and credit analysis skills with the ability to evaluate complex business lending scenarios.
- Demonstrated experience developing business relationships, generating new business, and meeting production goals.
- Strong understanding of business lending products, underwriting, credit risk, and loan documentation.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with members, referral partners, and internal teams.
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business lending technology.
Bay Federal Credit Union is proud to offer a competitive, robust compensation and benefits package. Bay Federal considers many factors in determining base pay such as experience, education/training, internal peer equity, job location, and other business considerations when extending an offer. For Santa Cruz, CA only, the pay scale Bay Federal reasonably expects to pay for this position is $110,000 annually. Salaries are based on the geographic location in which you live if working remotely.
