The Opportunity: The purpose of this role is to lead a team of Project & Agile professionals ensuring adequate resource levels and quality of service to meet the needs of value streams and contribute to the successful execution of QBE's strategic direction.
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin; Chicago, Illinois; Atlanta, Georgia
- Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
- The salary range for this role is: $130,500.00 - $215,500.00
Your New Role- Develop and maintain processes and tools for effective management of the Project & Agile function
- Manage the Project & Agile function in accordance with QBE ways of working
- Attract, select, develop, motivate, train, and retain a high-quality workforce with the knowledge, skill, and desire to deliver excellent outcomes and customer service
- Capability uplift of the Project & Agile function in line with industry trends and practices
- Managing QBE projects and ensuring a focus on delivering to support business/division strategic objectives and delivering benefit to QBE
- Support the implementation of the business/division strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets
- Project planning using Microsoft Project or Agile methodology and aligned with QBE project management methodologies
- Performing regular program reporting including the reporting on schedule, budget, scope, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, team, stakeholders and benefits
- Escalating decisions as required to start, stop and pass through key project stage gates
- Operating projects in alignment with QBEs program management methodologies
- Effective project risk and issue management
Required Qualifications- Tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Experience- Project Management qualifications or certifications.
- Experience in large scale project or program role within a fast-paced large-scale commercial business environment.
- Successful experience in leading large change programs in a complex environment.
- Proven experience of managing key project controls (risks, issues, dependencies, plans, finances, reporting, etc.).
- Extensive experience of stakeholder management and successful teamwork.
Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
