Moog's Military Aircraft Group in search of a Business Process Champion - Planning to join their team!

The Business Process Champion - Planning (BPC) serves as a strategic leader and subject matter expert, driving end-to-end process excellence for Military Aircraft Group (MAG) during the Business Modernization Program (BMP). This role ensures that planning processes are effectively designed, standardized, and optimized to align with organizational objectives and SAP Activate methodology. Acting as the key liaison between business and IT, the BPC champions standardization, harmonization, governance and continuous improvement across operating group planning operations. ERP Planning includes the following processes: demand management, integrated business planning, supply planning & master scheduling, and capacity analysis / planning.

Following implementation, the BPC will own the global planning business process for MAG and will be responsible for stabilization, optimization, and long-term value realization. The BPC will provide hands-on support to users, lead required upgrades & UAT testing, maintain work instructions and global process documents, govern process adherence, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous process improvements.

This role offers a 1st shift on-site schedule at our East Aurora, NY Location.

As the Business Process Champion - Planning, you will:

Strategic Leadership & Governance
  • Define and own future-state planning business processes aligned with program and organizational goals.
  • Champion standardization and harmonization of planning processes within the operating group operations.
  • Serve as a decision-maker for planning process topics throughout the BMP project lifecycle.

Project Execution & Collaboration
  • Partner with Project Process Engineers, ERP functional analysts, site subject matter experts (SME), and business stakeholders.
  • Drive planning modernization through kaizen workshops, validate process designs, and approve documentation.
  • Oversee configuration decisions, test scenarios, and sign-off on deliverables.
  • Support testing cycles, defect resolution, cutover planning, and go-live readiness activities.
  • Support data migration, training and change management.
  • Drive change readiness by reinforcing key behaviors, benefits, and new ways of working.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and performance improvement and enhancements.
  • Monitor KPIs and process performance post-implementation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging BMP tools and analytics.

Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure processes comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Mitigate risks associated with process changes and system implementations.


Primary Accountabilities:
  • Accountable for the successful design and adoption of planning processes.
  • Responsible for stakeholder alignment and decision-making on process-related issues.
  • Owns the sign-off of process deliverables and testing outcomes.
  • Ensures business readiness, process sustainability, and governance through full program lifecycle.


To be considered for this role here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Plus a minimum of 7 years in planning platforms with strong knowledge of ERP, MES, PLM, and planning tools integrations.
  • Deep knowledge of end-to-end planning processes.

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities; ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

It would be great if you also had:
  • Experience in large-scale ERP or modernization projects; understanding of ERP and product lifecycle processes.
  • Project and change management experience.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Activate methodology

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $135,000.00-$165,000.00 Annually
