Job Description:

As a Business Process Analyst, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of Caterpillar's machine order management processes as we continue our digital transformation journey. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of business, technology, and global operations, supporting both current order management systems and next-generation solutions such as Salesforce Multi-Source Facility System, Commercial Order Optimization SAP, and other Modern Order Management platforms.

You'll partner with teams across Global Information Service (GIS) Division, Tax, Accounting, Transportation, IT, Product Groups, Industries, and Account Coordination, gaining broad exposure to Caterpillar's business and learning how our machines move from order to delivery across the globe.

What you will do:

  • Provide daily support through ticketing system to key business partners.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve business processes using modern digital technologies.

  • Translate business requirements into process and system solutions that support the order-to-delivery lifecycle.

  • Partner with global cross-functional teams to enhance order management processes and systems.

  • Support and troubleshoot machine order management applications and platforms.

  • Train and support users on new digital tools, systems, and processes.

  • Create and maintain system documentation and business support procedures.

  • Participate in Product Testing and System Integration Testing activities.

  • Provide support for dealer and customer invoice-related inquiries.

  • Manage and coordinate intercompany invoicing adjustments.

  • Administer system access and security for legacy platforms and WebMOCS.

  • Provide Certificates of Origin and other customer-related documentation as required.

  • Lead issue resolution efforts with global IT teams and external partners.

  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.

  • Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of new or enhanced business applications.

  • Leverage Lean methodologies and continuous improvement principles to drive operational excellence.

  • Collaborate with international teams to influence the future of Caterpillar's digital order management landscape.

What skills you have:

  • Business Analysis: Demonstrated business acumen with experience in Supply Chain, Business Analysis, Process Improvement, or related fields. Proven ability to support and lead Lean projects, apply Lean principles and practices, and leverage Power BI for project creation and maintenance. Strong understanding of order management processes with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

  • Core Application Systems:Hands-on experience with ordering systems, preferably SAP, including a solid understanding of SAP Supply Chain processes and functionalities. Working knowledge of ordering systems and processes related to Caterpillar machine prime products, engines, parts, or work tools. Experience with Salesforce or similar business systems is highly desirable.

  • Information Capture:Exceptional listening skills with the curiosity to ask questions, understand business needs, and gather critical information. Ability to effectively organize, document, and manage requirements while maintaining attention to detail and balancing multiple priorities, emails, and support requests.

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to evaluate complex information, identify trends, and develop practical solutions. Advanced analytical skills combined with a data-driven approach to decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across functions, regions, and cultures. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, coupled with a customer-focused mindset and passion for helping others succeed. Experience supporting dealers and order management activities is preferred.

  • IT Environment: General understanding of Caterpillar's organization, products, policies, procedures, and business processes. Ability to understand the broader business environment and evaluate the impact of decisions across functions and operations.

  • IT Standards, Procedures & Policies: Knowledge of established standards, procedures, policies, and governance practices. Demonstrated commitment to compliance, process discipline, and delivering high-quality results with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

  • System and Technology Integration: Understanding of system interactions, business process integration, and technology dependencies across enterprise applications. Ability to support system enhancements, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives that improve business performance and user experience.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, or Marketing.

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
