What You Will Do:

Support Department of Defense (DoD) clients with high‑visibility strategic, financial, and operational initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in DoD financial management, strategic planning, and executive decision support, and includes direct engagement with senior‑level government stakeholders.

  • Lead high‑visibility strategic initiatives and manage senior‑level client relationships across complex financial management and organizational priorities

  • Execute and support long‑term programmatic and strategic planning efforts, including rapid response to emerging client needs

  • Develop executive‑ready analyses, recommendations, briefings, and decision‑support materials for senior leadership

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend actionable courses of action

  • Support DoD strategic financial management activities, including programming, budgeting, execution, and spend plan analysis

  • Support mission‑critical activities related to DoD programming and budget formulation, including

    • Budget Estimate Submissions (BES)

    • President’s Budget (PB) materials

    • National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) certification documentation

    • O&M budgets, execution tracking, and financial

  • Improve organizational effectiveness through business process analysis, governance support, and targeted transformation initiatives

  • Facilitate senior‑level meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder engagements

  • Support organizational culture, workforce, and professional development initiatives aligned with client priorities

  • Perform assigned duties independently, serving as a trusted advisor to senior client leadership

What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.

  • Master’s degree

  • SEVEN (7) years of experience in DoD financial management


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Power BI and Visio

  • Demonstrated business acumen, including experience in Management consulting, Business development support and Professional development initiatives

  • Demonstrated experience performing strategic financial management and business operations duties independently
