JOB SUMMARY
Serve as the central hub and primary liaison for all Marine sub-departments, ensuring seamless coordination between Nautical, Safety, Newbuild, Itinerary, and the general running of the Marine department. Drive departmental efficiency by developing data visualizations, optimizing meeting workflows, providing transparent oversight of budgets and CAPEX, and governing departmental documentation. The Manager Marine will actively leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern productivity technologies to continuously enhance the overall output and operational efficiency of the team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary liaison connecting and coordinating activities across all Marine sub-departments (Nautical, Safety, Newbuild, Itinerary) and the general running of the Marine operations.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee all visualization needs for the department to ensure clear tracking of metrics, project statuses, and operational data.
- Organize day-to-day departmental meetings, process the resulting information, and convert discussions into clear, trackable, and actionable items for respective team members.
- Facilitate comprehensive visibility of all departmental budgets and CAPEX, assisting team members with their accounts to ensure the utmost transparency regarding financial expenditures.
- Govern the departmental filing system, taking full charge of the organization, upkeep, and accessibility of all records and documentation.
- Actively explore, implement, and utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) and new productivity technologies to continuously enhance the overall efficiency and output of the Marine department.
- Provide hands-on support and assistance as directed in all projects involving the Marine department.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Finance, Business Admin
EXPERIENCE
- At least 4 years of experience in coordinating cross-functional operations, project management, budget tracking, executive-level reporting, and administrative support, with proficiency in data visualization, document management, and process improvement.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Must have demonstrated leadership ability and good interpersonal skills to effectively deal with internal and external contacts.
- Knowledge of tech systems and finances, as well as any training in productivity and organizational tools.
- Must be able to travel (domestic and international) onboard ships as needed.
