Job Summary

The Business Operations Lead supports the day-to-day execution of business operations and serves as a key partner to teams across the organization, ensuring operational processes, services, and initiatives are delivered effectively and consistently. This role provides day-to-day leadership, guidance, and oversight to the Business Operations Coordinator and works closely with the Senior Business Operations Manager to support operational excellence, process consistency, employee experience, and continuous improvement.

The Business Operations Lead also serves as the primary owner of the company's travel program, overseeing end-to-end travel administration, employee support, vendor coordination, policy guidance, and program enhancements to ensure a positive, efficient, and compliant travel experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and execute business operations activities and initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
  2. Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to the Business Operations Coordinator, including work prioritization, delegation of responsibilities, training, coaching, and performance feedback.
  3. Lead day-to-day execution of department goals, projects and operational priorities.
  4. Partner with leaders and teams to support operational planning, coordination, and execution efforts.
  5. Maintain operational reporting metrics and insights to support leadership decision-making.
  6. Maintain department procedures and standard operating procedures, ensuring documentation is clear, current, and accessible.
  7. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, employee experience, and service delivery through process enhancements and workflow improvements.
  8. Serve as the primary Travel Manager for the company, owning the end-to-end travel process including booking support, policy guidance, vendor coordination, issue resolution, and employee assistance.
  9. Manage travel-related vendor relationships, monitor program effectiveness, and recommend improvements to optimize cost, compliance, and employee experience.
  1. Act as the primary point of contact for employee travel needs and serve as an escalation contact for complex travel-related issues, ensuring timely resolution, effective communication, and a positive, efficient, and compliant travel experience.
  1. Support company culture by actively contributing to team engagement initiatives, employee events, and morale-building activities.
  2. Collaborate cross-functionally to execute projects, initiatives, and day-to-day operational needs.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, travel management, office administration, hospitality operations, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating corporate travel and supporting travelers.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading the work of others.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred
  • Experience reviewing contracts, travel requirements, or compliance-related guidelines.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Experience with travel and expense management platforms.
  • Experience improving processes and operational workflows.
