Lead Business Office Operations in a Skilled Nursing Environment

Golden Pavilion Healthcare is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager (BOM) to oversee the financial and administrative operations of our skilled nursing facility. This is a leadership position for a highly organized professional with prior skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience and a strong understanding of healthcare billing, resident accounts, collections, payroll, and business office operations.

The ideal candidate understands the unique financial and regulatory requirements of skilled nursing and can effectively manage day-to-day business office functions while providing professional service to residents, families, staff, and leadership.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee the daily operations of the skilled nursing facility's business office
  • Manage Medicare, Medicaid, Medi-Cal, managed care, private pay, and other healthcare billing
  • Oversee resident accounts receivable, collections, and account reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate resident financial and trust account records
  • Monitor billing, payments, adjustments, and outstanding balances
  • Oversee payroll and accounts payable processes
  • Process invoices and maintain accurate vendor records
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and documentation
  • Work closely with residents and families regarding financial accounts and payment matters
  • Coordinate with facility leadership and corporate support teams regarding financial and administrative matters
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and HIPAA requirements
  • Support audits and maintain accurate business office documentation
  • Ensure the business office operates efficiently and maintains accurate records
What We're Looking For
  • Required: Previous Business Office Manager or business office experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)
  • Required: Skilled nursing experience
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid/Medi-Cal, managed care, and private-pay billing
  • Experience with accounts receivable, collections, resident accounts, and financial reconciliation
  • Experience with payroll and accounts payable
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, accounting, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
