WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Business Manager of the KEPL team, you will help manage the team's internal operations, focusing on team coordination, recruitment support, employee experience, and operational execution. You will work closely with the portfolio manager to improve team efficiency, manage priorities, coordinate internal processes, and create a high-performing and sustainable team environment. Specifically, you will:
  • Support the portfolio manager in daily operations, planning, prioritization, and follow-ups.
  • Manage team standards and processes, including meetings, action items, timelines, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Coordinate recruiting operations, including candidate tracking, interview scheduling, feedback collection, onboarding logistics, and communication with the firm's recruiting teams.
  • Support employee onboarding, training coordination, team integration, and ongoing employee experience.
  • Manage and improve employee workload balance and internal communication.
  • Organize team events, offsites, knowledge sharing sessions, and culture building initiatives.
  • Assist with headcount planning, seating, equipment, access requests, and other operational needs.
  • Build and maintain internal systems, dashboards, trackers, and documentation to improve transparency and execution.
  • Partner with the firm's internal functions such as HR, legal, compliance, finance, technology, and facilities to ensure smooth team operations.
  • Take ownership of ad hoc projects to help the team scale effectively.

WHAT'S REQUIRED
  • Master's degree in STEM, business, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance in a business operations, chief of staff, project management, recruiting operations, strategy, consulting, or trading role.
  • Proficiency with GenAI tools and Microsoft Office suite, as well as productivity tools such as Jira or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with technical, research, and business teams.
  • Open-minded attitude and willingness to learn new skills and processes.
  • Ability to operate independently, identify problems, and proactively communicate and drive solutions.
