Arconic is currently in search of a Business Manager to join our Kawneer Business.

Job Summary:

Under the general direction of General Manager Sales Operations, the Business Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of front-end operations for a dedicated team including leadership of the following front-end functions: Estimating, Project Management, Customer Service, Order Management, Takeoff, and Architectural Services.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Responsible for all facets of inside sales and promotions, quoting and closing, project management and customer service, order processing and order management.
  • Promote all Kawneer NA products and grow sales revenue for both new and existing products.
  • Collaborate with the sales organization, other regional teams, and customers to ensure full market coverage in the regional markets, and satisfy market needs and expectations.
  • Assist in delivering annual sales revenue and profitability plans, and assure that revenue and margin levels are aligned with the overall financial plan for the regions/locations.
  • Practice continuous improvement techniques to eliminate waste, drive efficiencies and reduce errors through standardization and application of lean practices. Apply Arconic Business Systems (ABS) framework and techniques for daily management activities.
  • Develop relationships with customers to grow share of wallet across the customer base.
  • Build relationships with manufacturing locations to ensure that customer needs are met across the Kawneer North America organization.
  • Coordinate with Plant Managers and Location Controllers to develop revenue and margin forecasts.
  • Manage and monitor critical measurement systems and KPIs to ensure that targets are being met and adequate controls are in place.
  • Assist in gathering competitive information to ensure that the business is delivering the most relevant products and pricing information to the customers and satisfying market expectations.
  • Create a culture of employee engagement and people development aligned with the business and customer strategy to ensure long-term success of the Kawneer brand.
  • Coordinate with the manufacturing organization to ensure that the production schedules are met and targeted margins are maintained.
  • Use data, best practices and Kaizen methodologies to increase process efficiency and reduce operational cost.
  • Lead the Architectural Services Team in engaging architects at the earliest and most influential point in the construction project lifecycle, converting technical inquiries into actionable sales opportunities.
  • Ensure architect and project information is captured and maintained in CRM systems to improve project visibility, sales follow-up, and pipeline management.
  • Establish clear handoff processes between Architectural Services, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and Technical Services to ensure qualified project intelligence is routed with appropriate context.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and use structured approaches to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
  • Good working knowledge of commercial and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation, training and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines and work in a team environment.
  • Strong professional image, ethical standards, integrity, objectivity, confidence and dedication to internal and external customers.


Qualifications

You have:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in Front-End, Sales, Operations or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a large commercial organization.
  • Deep understanding of curtain wall, store front and window products, market, manufacturing processes and pricing mechanisms.
  • Expertise in communicating with the customers and ability to effectively resolve customer issues.
  • PC-based software application skills and experience (Microsoft Office, JDE, Oracle) essential.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in Architectural Sales role within the glazing Industry.
  • Industry certifications are a plus (LEED, Salesforce, etc.).
