Full Job Description

The Southwest Business Leader is a senior commercial leader responsible for functional excellence within the TBM community, coaching, developing, and enabling Territory Business Managers (TBMs) across Neurology, Rheumatology and future therapeutic areas within the local market. This role ensures aligned execution of national brand and indication strategy, strong customer engagement and consistent commercial performance. The Pacific & Northwest Business Leader partners closely with Pacific & Northwest Market Head (MH) to translate local market strategy into focused account engagement and business results, while maintaining direct responsibility for TBM performance, capability building and adherence to the argenx Way. 

This market will include the following states: Washington, California, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Wyoming, Alaska

Role & Responsibilities:

Lead, Coach, and Develop
  • Directly lead TBMs within the therapeutic area, fostering trust, growth, and ownership.

  • Provide ongoing field coaching, feedback, and development planning to elevate performance.

  • Reinforce compliant, ethical, and patient‑focused decision‑making in all interactions.

Drive Aligned Execution
  • Translate national brand and indication strategies into clear, actionable priorities for TBMs.

  • Partner with Northeast Market Heads to embed TBM execution into local market plans and resource allocation.

  • Identify and address market‑level challenges, escalating as needed to enable cross‑functional solutions.

Build Capability through Collaboration & Accountability
  • Identify capability gaps and deliver targeted development in partnership with Field Training and Commercial Readiness.

  • Serve as a connector across cross‑functional partners (FRMs, NCMs, FCEs, TLLs, MSLs, RADs) to ensure seamless market execution.

  • Set clear expectations, monitor key performance indicators (e.g., call quality, vial attainment, patient starts), and recognize individual and team contributions.

  • Share insights and best practices with Northeast Market Heads and enterprise leadership to continuously strengthen impact.

  • Provide clear, consistent feedback to the Northeast Market Head on TBM performance, customer engagement trends, and local market conditions.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing commercial professionals.

  • Strong clinical, scientific, and business acumen within Neurology and Rheumatology.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the US healthcare and payer landscape, including specialty distribution and buy-and-bill models.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of effective relationship building with external stakeholders.

  • Cross-functional mindset with the ability to collaborate across diverse roles and backgrounds.

  • Solution-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.

For applicants in the United States: The annual base salary hiring range for this position is $204,000.00 - $280,500.00 USD. This range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined using objective, inclusive, and job-related criteria such as relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies and internal equity. This means actual pay may differ from the posted range when justified by these factors. Because market conditions evolve, pay ranges are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted to remain aligned with external benchmarks.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive programs, subject to the terms and conditions of those plans and applicable policies. It also includes a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to retirement savings plans, health benefits and other benefits subject to the terms of the applicable plans and program guidelines.
