Business Intelligence Performance Specialist II - Business Intelligence

Work location: Texas Health Resources, 612 East Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011

Primarily remote however, must live in the DFW area or be willing to relocate to the DFW area.

Work hours: Full-time, Day shift; 40 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Here's What You Need

Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related discipline. (Required) and
• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Science, Information Technology Data Analytics, Statistics, or related discipline. (Preferred)

Experience
• Minimum 3 years of relevant analytics experience in BI/EDW or IT Development, Healthcare, Consulting, Finance, Analytics, or a closely related field with significant hands-on job experience using modern BI visualization software, data preparation tools and/or SQL development to support decision making with a Bachelor's degree. (Required) Or
• Minimum 1 Years Relevant analytics experience in BI/EDW or IT Development, Healthcare, Consulting, Finance, Analytics, or a closely related field with significant hands-on job experience using modern BI visualization software, data preparation tools and/or SQL development to support decision making with a Master's degree. (Required) And
• Experience in Healthcare, Health Insurance, Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field. (Preferred)
• Web Design experience (Preferred)
Strong SQL, Alteryx & Tableau experience needed

Skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong analytical or problem-solving skills are required. The demonstrated ability to interpret the information provided and ask clarifying questions to understand the underlying needs that need to be addressed.
• Recent experience using modern BI data visualization software is required.
• Recent experience with relational databases and using SQL to perform data exploration and preparation for reporting is required. Skills should include working knowledge on how to create queries, joins, filters, conditions, subqueries, tables, views, group by attributes and how to accurately perform counts, calculations, and other data aggregation.
• Knowledge of the SDLC, ITSM and privacy and security concepts.
• Experience delivering BI solutions through rapid, iterative delivery methods such as Agile, Kanban, or Scrum preferred.
• Able to take on at least three projects concurrently and manage changes in scope along the way.
Development experience with some combination of the following applications is required:

. Tableau or equivalent data visualization software

. SQL (Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL or equivalent)

. Alteryx Designer or equivalent data preparation software

. Alteryx Connect or equivalent enterprise data catalog application

. Teradata or equivalent Extended Data Warehouse technologies
Additional experience with any of the following is preferred:

. Jira or Azure Dev Ops

. Salesforce Service Cloud, Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud and/or Datorama

. Google Analytics and other Digital Marketing Platform data

. Using API connections to access data

. SharePoint Configuration and Administration

. Web Design

What You Will Do
• Collaborate with business leaders and SMEs, analysts, EDW team, application teams and other stakeholders to rapidly design, develop, test, and implement production Business Intelligence solutions.
• Automate dashboard data preparation/integration using THR standard data preparation technologies.
• Promote use of EDW as a data source and adhere to EDW architectural standards. When necessary, adhere to development and support standards for BI production dashboards that source directly from non-EDW sources.
• Participate in design reviews, providing feedback on performance, scalability, and adherence to standards.
• With minimal guidance, work with business sponsors, SMES, and application teams to gather and document business requirements, analyze, assess availability, quality, and data lineage of source system data.
• Use visualization techniques such as wire frames and rapid prototyping of dashboard visualization to facilitate needs analysis discussions to ensure solutions that meet business information requirements.
• Assist analysts in developing their technical capabilities and aptitude to support self-service enablement.
• Support production BI applications to manage source system changes, optimize application and ensure availability, accuracy, security and acceptable performance.
• Develop Communication through newsletters, Viva Engage
