Full Job Description
Can you architect a data warehouse and then walk into a room of stakeholders and explain what the numbers mean, clearly, confidently, and without jargon? If so, keep reading. Mezzetta is looking for a Business Intelligence Manager who brings genuine technical depth and genuine business judgment in equal measure, someone who can own the systems that power our reporting and be a trusted partner to every person who depends on that data.
Reporting to the VP of IT, you will own our BI function end-to-end. You'll inherit a Power BI and SQL Server-based data warehouse environment and lead the transition from Excel-heavy, manual reporting to reliable, system-generated reporting the whole organization can trust.
Responsibilities
• Drive the shift from manual, spreadsheet-based reporting to structured, system-generated outputs across every business function
• Deliver accurate, timely reporting for revenue, manufacturing, sales, materials, and warehousing
• Own the data warehouse and ETL pipelines; document architecture and improve data quality organization-wide
• Gather and translate business requirements from non-technical stakeholders across Finance, Manufacturing, Sales, and Operations
• Build a BI modernization roadmap with the VP of IT, including cloud and AI-enabled capabilities
• Partner with the IFS Cloud ERP and IT Operations teams on data integration
• Manage and develop the BI analyst function; build the standards and processes that make the function scale
Requirements
• Expert-level SQL, you can navigate, optimize, and architect complex Microsoft SQL Server systems, and you're as comfortable redesigning an aging structure as building something new
• Hands-on Power BI experience, DAX, data models, dashboards, and the judgment to know what good reporting looks like
• Financial acumen, you understand P&L, balance sheet, and revenue reporting, and can use data to inform business planning and performance management
• A proven track record of moving organizations from manual, Excel-driven reporting to disciplined, system-generated outputs
• Real experience gathering requirements from non-technical business users and delivering working data solutions
• The ability to speak two languages fluently: deep technical with the data team, plain business English with everyone else
• 10+ years in BI, analytics, or data management; prior experience leading or developing a BI team
Nice to Haves
• Experience with IFS Cloud ERP or comparable enterprise ERP systems
• Oracle SQL experience
• Azure, Tableau, Qlik, Incorta, or other BI/cloud platforms
• CPG, food manufacturing, or supply chain analytics background
• Python, R, or AI/ML-enabled BI tooling
• Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, or Azure certifications
Pay Range
$165,000-$170,000 USD
