The BI Delivery Leader drives adoption of a governed, reusable enterprise BI foundation.

What You'll Own

BI Delivery Leadership

  • Own the central enterprise dashboards delivered on Power BI over the governed enterprise foundation.

  • Lead BI Developers on visualization, semantic modeling, and metric development, coaching on standards and quality.

  • Direct BI Developers across onshore and offshore engagement, serving as the technical lead for offshore BI resources and the bridge back to onshore leads.

  • Contribute directly as a senior BI developer on critical or complex builds.

  • Manage the backlog of visualization and semantic modeling projects, including dissemination and adoption.

Power BI Service & Development Lifecycle

  • Own the end-to-end Power BI service experience, including workspace management, provisioning, access, and version control.

  • Own the development lifecycle within the BI environment, from dev through production, with clear release and promotion practices.

  • Own the testing and validation process for dashboards, semantic models, and metric releases.

  • Oversee governing and refreshing of certified data sources.

  • Monitor Power BI service consumption, licensing, and related costs, and contribute to BI tooling budget conversations.

  • Monitor dashboard usage metrics and recommend proliferation or deprecation of visuals based on adoption and value.

Dashboard & Reporting Asset Management

  • Own the ongoing management of enterprise dashboards and reporting assets across their lifecycle, from launch through enhancement and retirement.

  • Maintain the enterprise inventory of dashboards, semantic models, and reporting assets, including purpose, ownership, data sources, refresh cadence, and lifecycle status.

  • Prioritize enhancement requests and defect resolution, and retire duplicate or low-value assets to maintain a trusted, streamlined enterprise BI foundation.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with the Data Engineering Leader on interdependent tasks for delivery and release of visualization, semantic model, and metric changes.

  • Coordinate with the Technical Product Owner and Business Data Analyst to confirm initial requirements are delivered.

  • Coordinate with BU and HQ analytics and insights teams on BU-specific views built off the central enterprise platform to ensure consistency with the governed foundation.

  • Maintain vendor relationships for visualization and adjacent toolsets, and contribute to tool evaluations and licensing decisions.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Establish documentation standards for semantic models, dashboards, metrics, and Power BI service configuration.

  • Ensure BI Developers document metric definitions, dashboard purpose, data sources, and refresh dependencies as part of the definition of done.

How You'll Partner

  • Enterprise Data Architect: Align semantic layer and metric definitions with the governed enterprise model.

  • Data Engineering Leader: Coordinate on interdependent delivery and release timing.

  • Technical Product Owner and Business Data Analyst: Confirm requirements and receive prioritized demand for the BI backlog.

  • BI Developers: Provide technical direction, coaching, and delivery accountability.

  • BU and HQ analytics and insights stakeholders: Align on requirements, adoption, and enhancement priorities.

  • Vendors and toolset partners: Maintain relationships and represent Masco in roadmap and licensing conversations.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Substantial hands-on experience as a BI Developer or in a similar role, with proven delivery of enterprise BI solutions.

  • Experience leading BI or analytics teams, including dotted-line or delivery-lead responsibility.

  • Experience owning the Power BI service experience end to end, including workspace management, provisioning, and release lifecycle.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced hands-on expertise with Power BI, including Tabular models, DAX, semantic modeling, and workspace/service administration.

  • Strong understanding of the medallion architecture (bronze / silver / gold) and how BI consumes governed enterprise data.

  • Understanding of and experience with Microsoft Fabric and how it fits alongside Power BI in a modern enterprise BI platform.

  • Advanced SQL and strong ETL/ELT familiarity for BI-facing data preparation.

  • Working knowledge of the Databricks and Azure data stack as they support the BI layer.

  • Working knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling and efficient BI modeling practices.

  • Experience with version control and development lifecycle practices for BI assets.

  • Understanding of data governance, security, and access as they apply to enterprise BI and certified data sources.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communicator who can translate business needs into BI solutions and technical decisions for business audiences.

  • Willingness to explore new and modern BI and analytics tools to add value to the enterprise POS space.

  • Collaborative with BU and HQ analytics counterparts for cross-learning and consistent practice.

  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and a continuous learner.

Preferred Qualifications
