Job Description:

Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will work with business partners and technical teams to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements. You will support the development, testing, and implementation of reporting solutions, system enhancements, and business intelligence tools while gathering user feedback and driving continuous improvement that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.

What You Will Do:
  • Support the development, testing, and delivery of business intelligence solutions, tools, and services.
  • Gather and document business requirements, create functional requirement documents, perform validation testing, and support successful implementations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and data/reporting owner for key business processes, responding to inquiries from dealers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support daily production processes across multiple business and technical platforms.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex system and data issues, identify root causes, and implement high-quality solutions.
  • Lead or contribute to medium- and large-scale projects, collaborating with cross-functional business and IT teams.


What You Have (Basic Requirements):

Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

• Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.

• Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.

• Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.

What Will Set You Apart:
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following technologies: SAS, SQL, Python, and Snowflake.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience in inventory management and/or a strong understanding of supply chain concepts.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting Power BI reports and dashboards.

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
