Position Summary

Under the direction of the Administrative Captain, the Business & Finance Manager serves as the senior administrative and financial officer for the UCLA Police Department. The incumbent provides leadership and oversight for the department's financial management, budget administration, strategic resource planning, procurement, payroll and personnel administration, compliance, internal controls, and business operations. The position supports multiple operational units, including Police, Public Safety Aide (PSA), Security Services, Community Service Officer (CSO) Programs, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), with multiple fund sources supporting an annual budget of approximately $30 million and approximately 140 FTE. The Business & Finance Manager is responsible for coordinating departmental financial planning, budget development, forecasting, analysis, reporting, and performance measurement activities. The incumbent advises department leadership on financial strategy, resource allocation, operational effectiveness, risk management, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that financial and administrative practices align with University policies, departmental priorities, and organizational goals. The position partners with department leadership to support the effective deployment of resources across all operational units while maintaining sound fiscal stewardship and administrative accountability.

Qualifications
