Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Business Excellence Manager located in Milpitas, California.

The Business Excellence Manager leads a team of Business Excellence Leaders and Technicians in driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, Lean transformation, process standardization, and productivity across L06, L10, and L11 manufacturing operations. Partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams, this role acts as a change agent to improve performance, quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction through Lean, Six Sigma, Industrial Engineering, and data-driven decision-making while delivering sustainable business results aligned with organizational goals.
What a typical day looks like:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Excellence Leaders and Technicians supporting manufacturing operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen events, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and Productivity performance.
  • Lead site-wide operational excellence initiatives, including Value Stream Mapping and process transformation projects.
  • Establish and govern standard work, best practices, visual management systems, and performance metrics.
  • Improve labor productivity, capacity utilization, cycle times, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts using root cause analysis and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Drive sustainable operational improvements through data-driven decision-making, KPI management, and continuous performance reviews.

The Experience We're Looking to Add to Our Team
  • 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Excellence, Lean Transformation, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineers, technicians, analysts, or continuous improvement teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Proven success leading Lean transformations and delivering measurable operational improvements.
  • Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Industrial Engineering, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience using KPIs, dashboards, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt certification preferred.
