Role Summary

This role supports stakeholders across ME Body – Global Quality Center, Stamping and Assembly Plants processes by improving structure, visibility, and follow-through across critical initiatives. In practice, the work is closely connected to the centralization and streamlining of access to dimensional and quality data in support of launch and steady-state operations using Data Visualization, Data Management and Data Storage tools.

Position Overview

The Business Efficiency and Knowledge Lead is a people leader within ME Body Global Quality Center responsible for leading a team that improves business efficiency, knowledge enablement, operating discipline, and execution across operational and technical workstreams. This role serves as a cross-functional integrator, translating business needs into scalable processes, team priorities, knowledge systems, data visualization dashboards, and operational routines that improve performance across the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for business efficiency, knowledge management, Control Room support, and execution enablement across ME Body, Stamping and Assembly Plants.
  • Enable team to leverage Data Management tools – Power BI, Databricks, etc to drive access to key data to enable prompt action/resolution.
  • Create and oversee operational plans for routine and strategic activities, ensuring alignment to annual objectives, business priorities, and functional deliverables – ensuring processes are standardized and documented.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that improve process standardization, systems adoption, governance, business visibility, and decision-making across quality and related functions.
  • Lead efforts to centralize and streamline access to critical dimensional and quality information through scalable tools, dashboards, and knowledge resources that support launch and steady-state operations.
  • Translate broad business challenges into structured work plans, practical solutions, and executable initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Use data and analysis to assess business needs, demonstrate the value of initiatives, anticipate objections, and influence decisions with senior stakeholders and partner teams.
  • Partner across quality, manufacturing, technology, and supplier-facing organizations to remove barriers, coordinate execution, and improve follow-through on high-priority workstreams.
  • Serve as a resource to the team for technical expertise, business process knowledge, stakeholder coordination, and navigation of company policies and processes.
  • Address complex operational issues with multiple moving parts by applying judgment, business acumen, and innovative problem-solving approaches.
  • Build team capability through coaching, development planning, visible recognition, and thoughtful talent decisions to ensure the right mix of skills and experience across the team.
  • Foster an inclusive, accountable, and high-performing environment where employees can openly discuss development needs, contribute ideas, and stay aligned after decisions are made.
  • Ideate future improvements by leveraging the evolving tools and solutions, including AI.
  • Forward thinking, self-starter that can take big ideas into implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations, information systems, or a related field
  • Significant professional experience in business operations, quality, manufacturing support, process improvement, systems enablement, analytics, or knowledge management
  • Experience leading people and driving team results in a cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated ability to create operating plans, manage competing priorities, and deliver results through others
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Experience using data, dashboards, and business systems to improve visibility, execution, and decision-making
  • Experience building effective partnerships across multiple organizations and job areas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in quality, dimensional systems, manufacturing execution, launch support, or related operational environments
  • Experience with knowledge platforms, reporting tools, Power BI, dashboard adoption, or digital workflow enablement
  • Experience leading process standardization or business transformation initiatives
  • Experience working across supplier-facing or enterprise operational processes
  • Demonstrated success developing employees and building high-performing teams
