Position: Business Development and Operation Support Manager

Hours per week: 40

Starting Salary Range: $126,000 - $167,000. Exact compensation may vary depending on the individual experience and qualifications of each candidate. Applicants with greater or less than the minimum qualifications for this posted opportunity may be considered for alternate opportunities.

Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain account plans, including multi-year action plans and order intake/revenue targets.
  • Anticipate customer strategic drivers and emerging opportunities (1-3 year horizon) and position Kinectrics accordingly.
  • Build and execute "zipper plans" to strengthen relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Lead capture planning for strategic opportunities, including win themes, partnerships, and input into innovation/NPD initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day client interactions and supply chain processes, coordinating internal responses as required.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment between clients and Kinectrics operational teams.
  • Lead contractual and MSA negotiations related to the Laundry business.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) to track performance, monitor progress against strategy, and implement corrective actions.
  • Achieve or exceed account revenue and order targets.
  • Champion client needs internally to drive high levels of customer satisfaction.


Account Ownership and Business Development:
  • Act as internal account champion for Canada Nuclear Laundry clients, maintaining oversight of all Kinectrics activities.
  • Build and grow client relationships while meeting strategic and order targets; anticipate and prepare for long-term client needs (3-5 years).
  • Coordinate client engagement activities, including site tours, events, and connecting Kinectrics leaders with client stakeholders.
  • Lead preparation for client scorecard reviews and performance discussions.
  • Identify and drive new business opportunities to grow order value within the Canada Nuclear portfolio.
  • Support bid development and negotiation of major opportunities.
  • Advise internal teams on strategic opportunities using Salesforce/SAP and support business planning.
  • Partner with senior leadership (VPs/SVPs) to develop multi-year diversification plans.
  • Generate leads and support sales planning, execution, and deal closure.
  • Strengthen Kinectrics' brand and market presence through networking, speaking, and industry participation.
  • Support collections activities as needed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Bruce Power and OPG Laundry accounts; regular travel required.
  • Identify service and market development priorities to support business growth.
  • Strengthen Kinectrics' internal and external brand and market presence.
  • Represent Kinectrics through industry engagement, including public speaking, publishing, networking, and association participation.


Leadership:
  • Champion New Product Development (NPD) by shaping long-term strategies for key accounts.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment on multi-disciplinary initiatives, ensuring effective use of internal resources.
  • Partner with VPs/SVPs to develop and execute marketing plans for Kinectrics services.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor, coaching junior staff and supporting team development.
  • Collaborate with and support fellow Account Managers to drive overall business success.
  • Oversee transportation and logistics to optimize scheduling and shipping efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage budget spend, identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
  • Lead monthly reviews on client usage and RPPE reporting.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to support waste minimization within client facilities.


Customer Relationships:
  • Serve as lead contact for new clients and external stakeholders aligned with business development strategy; manage complex relationships and resolve issues.
  • Manage existing accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Provide client insights and intelligence (quality, satisfaction, safety, technical issues, competition) to inform strategy.
  • Identify sales leads and partner with the sales team through planning, execution, and close.
  • Represent Kinectrics through industry engagement (speaking, publishing, networking, associations).
  • Maximize client value from Kinectrics services.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction.


What You Need to Succeed

Qualifications & Experience
  • Completion of a 4-year university degree in a relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, account management, or the nuclear/energy industry.
  • Proven experience managing accounts or departments, with demonstrated ownership of client relationships and outcomes.
  • 2+ years of experience in people leadership and full profit & loss (P&L) accountability.

This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.
