Job Title: Business Development Officer, C & I Solar
Location: AZ, NV, CO, TX, CA (remote with travel)
Salary: $50k Base +Uncapped Commission (OTE for year one $300k-$350k)

We are a growing leader in the solar and renewable energy space, specialized in helping business's minimize their carbon footprint. We are based in sunny Miami FL and are looking to add a crucial team member to convert our $40 million proposal pipeline into sales. This role is uncapped commission. If you have experience closing deals in the commercial/industrial solar and renewable energy industries and are looking to write the next chapter in your Sales career story, look no further.

What You Will Be Doing:

-Market Research, Analysis: Conduct market research, identify potential clients, market trends, competitors. Analyze and assess market dynamics, identify growth opportunities.

This position is for a Sales Closer. We have already generated a high value book of potential business and need someone able to get these deals over the finish line by closing projects with average of 5 megawatts, across the country.

-Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and engage with prospective C&I clients through various channels: cold calling, networking, industry events. Build and maintain a sales pipeline of qualified leads.
-Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations. Understand clients' energy requirements, recommend customized solar solutions.

-Proposal and Presentation Development: Prepare proposals, presentations, business cases to show value of our solar solutions to prospects. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment of proposed solutions with client needs.

-Contract Negotiation and Closure: Lead contract negotiations, work towards deal closure. Ensure contracts are mutually beneficial/compliant with industry standards. Work with management to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets. Monitor, report on sales performance. This is the area we need a heavy hitter for.

-Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with solar energy regulations, incentives, and policy changes. Ensure all business activities comply with legal and environmental standards.

What You Need for this Position
  • Bachelor's degree
  • B2B Sales experience in solar, with focus on the commercial & industrial spaces
  • Track record of closing high value solar deals in C&I market
  • Understanding of solar energy technologies, systems, their applications in Commercial & Industrial sector. A commitment to sustainability and the advancement of clean energy solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling, ROI analysis related to solar projects. Familiarity with regulatory/ incentive programs for solar energy.
  • Previous use of CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Commitment to sustainability and advancement of clean energy solutions
  • Ability to travel to clients, ideally based in one of the major US solar markets
