Position OverviewWild West Systems is seeking a Business Development Manager to own both sides of the growth equation - building relationships that generate pipeline and serving as the primary customer-facing representative for WWS products in the field.
You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the customer community while simultaneously owning the live demonstration and customer solutions function. That means cultivating relationships and executing product demonstrations, supporting capability assessments, and translating warfighter feedback into requirements that shape the WWS product roadmap.
The right candidate has deep operational experience and personal credibility with the warfighter community, combined with the hunger to help build a company and grow a book of business. Prior defense industry experience is a plus, not a prerequisite. The ability to find opportunity, build relationships, and close is.
Responsibilities• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and SOCOM communities - owning the relationship from first contact through pipeline entry

• Cultivate and maintain relationships in the customer community
• Serve as the primary WWS representative at field engagements, capability assessments, and operational experiments

• Develop customer-tailored solutions briefs and demonstration scenarios that connect WWS capabilities to specific unit missions and threat environments
• Support capture activities by providing operational context, customer intelligence, and user-level insight to the executive leadership
• Represent WWS at key industry and military events

- Established personal relationships within the customer community
- Experience in the defense industry technical sales, solutions engineering, or field applications role
- Familiarity with Army or SOCOM acquisition processes, OTAs, and rapid fielding pathways
