Position Summary
The Business Development Manager opportunity within our Healthcare segment is responsible for driving strategic growth across assigned markets and accounts by identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities focusing on high-impact activities including farming and hunting. This person is the key owner of existing and new accounts with support from the account manager.
Primary Responsibilities
Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, consultative selling and market intelligence gathering.
Expand strategic relationships within key accounts by penetrating organizations vertically and horizontally (high-wide-deep) to uncover unmet needs and new program opportunities.
Drive growth strategy for assigned markets and targets/prospects by leading early-stage technical and commercial conversations.
Develop and execute strategic account and market plants; where to play and how to win. Leading commercial strategies for quotes and growth opportunities by partnering with internal teams through account manager.
Represent Teel as the strategic commercial leader in high-value customer engagements, market events and new business presentations
Primary Ownership Areas
Opportunity creation and pipeline development and health.
Target account penetration and bringing in Ideal Customers through (ICP) and Ideal opportunities through (IQP's). Right-fit programs.
Early Customer Engagement. Being involved before customers go to broad market quoting exercises.
New program wins. Maintaining health of pipeline through KPI achievement and new award goal accomplishment.
What Success Looks Like
Consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Strong presence within key target accounts. Knowing and engaging the decision makers.
Strong engagement of engineering teams within NPD and engineering teams of prospects and customers.
New business regularly entering the organization.
General Requirements:
Minimum of 3 Years of experience working within plastic processing business(es)
Minimum of 3 Years commercial sales experience in regulated healthcare markets
Bachelor's degree or at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience
Strong communication skills via phone and email
Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
Proven ability to engage clients at all levels of their organization.
Strong track record of goal attainment and pipeline health maintenance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong team player and collaborator.
Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
