The business development manager will make critical decisions for strategic initiatives specific to the diversification of business.
This position is assigned monthly, quarterly and annual objectives. The score card for critical metrics will be based on:
- New customer acquisition
- Diverse business expansion
- Sales growth and conversion rates
- Revenue growth
- Development of strategic partnerships
essential responsibilities: Describe the top three to five key job responsibilities and expected end results .
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, distributors, and key industry stakeholders
- Partner with Dealer Development Team Leadership to generate cohesive sales strategy for on-going support of new product launch.
- Research market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify strategic opportunities for growth.
- Create and execute business development strategies aligned with company goals and objectives
- Participate in negotiations and support the development of proposals, contracts, and commercial agreements in coordination with Finance and Engineering.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and leadership teams to ensure successful customer engagement and project execution
- Monitor and report on diverse business development performance, pipeline activity, and growth initiatives
- Represent the company at stakeholder meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand presence and generate new business
Job specifications
Communication : List the types of individuals this position regularly communicates with, both internally and externally (i.e. customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies), and describe the nature of the communication (i.e. information exchange, influence and negotiate).
- Present to senior management market potential, competitive date, product offering, forecasting, budgeting
- Work with Marketing department to implement various B2B and B2C strategies across our NAFTA business
- Interface with Dealer Development and Product Management in the development and execution of market strategies, pricing, margin
- Working extensively with engineering, finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality
- Frequent contact with OEM and dealers
Requirements (including minimum education & years of experience) :
- A minimum of five years of experience in agriculture, construction equipment, or similar industry with business development, sales, account management, or related commercial roles.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance or related field preferred.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and build business relationships.
- Strategic planning and demonstrated execution of growth plans.
- Exceptional negotiation skills required.
