Position OverviewWe are seeking an ambitious, well-connected, and results-driven Business Development Manager to act as the primary growth engine for our firm. This is not a passive desk job; you will be the face of Ovadia in the NYC design, real estate, and luxury markets. Your primary mandate will be to identify new project opportunities, build a robust pipeline of high-net-worth individuals, and cultivate lasting partnerships with developers, architects, luxury brokers, and general contractors. While you will collaborate closely with the Principal to align on brand messaging and high-level pitches, you will have full autonomy over prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
Key Responsibilities- Drive Client Acquisition: Actively prospect and secure new high-end residential and commercial design leads through direct outreach, networking, and relationship building.
- Build Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate a robust network of luxury real estate brokers, developers, estate managers, general contractors, and industry influencers to establish a consistent pipeline of inbound referrals.
- Lead Generation & Market Intelligence: Actively track local real estate developments, construction permits, and luxury property transactions in the Tri-State area to identify project opportunities before they hit the open market.
- Own the Pitch Pipeline: Qualify incoming leads, manage the firm's CRM, and orchestrate the pitch process. You will collaborate on creating stunning, tailored pitch decks that communicate Ovadia's value proposition.
- Industry Representation: Represent the firm at key industry events, gallery openings, luxury trade shows (e.g., BDNY, ICFF), and high-profile networking groups.
Who You Are (Requirements & Qualifications)- Experienced: 3-5+ years of proven success in business development, luxury sales, real estate partnerships, or high-end consultative B2B sales. Experience specifically within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) or luxury design industries is highly preferred.
- Connected: You possess an existing network within the NYC luxury real estate, development, or design ecosystems, or you have the proven grit and charisma to go out and build one rapidly.
- Articulate & Poised: Outstanding communication and presentation skills. You are entirely comfortable walking into a room of high-net-worth individuals or real estate executives and commanding attention.
- Strategic Closer: You understand the long sales cycle of the luxury market. You know how to nurture a relationship from an initial handshake to a signed design contract.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient with modern CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and presentation software (Google Slides) to keep sales efforts organized and professional.
Benefits & Offerings- Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision benefits.
- Paid time off, holidays, and sick leave.
- Direct mentorship and collaboration with the Principal.
- A beautiful, creative workspace in Manhattan with exposure to some of the most prestigious design projects in the city.
