Job Title

Business Development Manager | Outbound Sales

bout your role:

Clover, a Fiserv company, is the SMB platform combining payments and point-of-sale software to help merchants run and grow their businesses. You will join a high-growth sales team focused on acquiring new merchant customers for the Clover POS and SaaS ecosystem in an assigned market. This role drives revenue by generating, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.

Compensation:

  • Base salary: $55,000 annually
  • On-target earnings (OTE): $110,000 annually (base + variable incentive when performance goals are met)
  • Uncapped incentive: Earn more as you exceed targets—no cap on upside

What you’ll do:

  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, assigned lists, networking, and targeted in-market activity.
  • Qualify prospects, build relationships with decision-makers, and manage the full sales cycle from discovery to close.
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations of Clover SaaS and POS solutions to showcase value and drive adoption.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and close agreements in collaboration with Legal and Sales Operations.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity data and forecasting in CRM; manage a healthy sales pipeline with consistent follow-up.
  • Collaborate with channel partners, implementation teams, and account management to ensure smooth onboarding and client success.

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English.
  • 0-1+ years of experience in B2B sales and new business development.
  • 0-1+ years of experience in consultative selling and full sales cycle management.
  • 0-1+ years of experience with CRM and pipeline management tools such as Salesforce.
  • 0-1+ years of experience negotiating pricing and contract terms.
  • 0-1+ years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • 3+ years of proven success meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a territory or vertical.
  • Experience selling to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across diverse industries.
  • Familiarity with merchant services, acquiring, or ISO/processor relationships.
  • Experience with territory planning and quota forecasting.
  • Direct experience with the Clover platform or similar POS ecosystems.

How you’ll work:

  • This role requires the use of a computer and audio equipment.
  • This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis.

Travel:

  • Approximately 60% field travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.
  • Must have your own mode of transportation for field travel.
