About the role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and managing a strong pipeline of construction opportunities. This role is primarily market-facing, focused on identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities through relationship development, strategic networking, and targeted pursuit efforts.
The Business Development Manager partners with internal operations teams to support project pursuits but does not own estimating or project strategy development. Success is measured by building a sustainable pipeline, deepening client relationships, and consistently converting opportunities into profitable, awarded projects.
What you'll do
Pipeline Development & Opportunity Capture
Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified construction opportunities
Identify and pursue target clients, projects, and markets aligned with company growth goals
Track opportunities from lead generation through contract award
Maintain CRM accuracy, including pipeline value, stages, and probability
Client Development & Relationship Management
Develop strong relationships with owners, developers, designers, general contractors, and key industry partners
Establish long-term partnerships that lead to repeat business and negotiated work
Serve as the primary point of contact during early client engagement
