Full Job Description
The Business Development Manager - Healthcare is responsible for executing growth initiatives by identifying and advancing new business opportunities aligned with Americhem's strategic goals. Guided by the market strategy set by the Global Market Manager, this role plays a key part in expanding our presence in the masterbatch and engineered compounds markets. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of customer needs, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to translate technical material solutions into competitive advantage. This individual will uncover unmet needs, forge strategic partnerships, generate qualified leads, and support targeted sales efforts to help turn market strategy into measurable, long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify unmet customer needs, market gaps, and emerging opportunities to support strategic priorities established by the Global Market Manager(s).
  • Develop new business opportunities by identifying prospective customers, applications, markets, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities from initial lead generation through commercialization and close.
  • Develop strong relationships with key customer stakeholders to understand business needs, technical requirements, and growth opportunities.
  • Execute growth initiatives aligned with market strategy, revenue objectives, and overall business priorities.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Product Management, and Operations to develop and commercialize customer-driven solutions.
  • Develop customer value propositions, business cases, and commercialization plans that translate market opportunities into profitable growth.
  • Evaluate opportunities based on market potential, strategic fit, customer value, competitive position, and business impact.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, technology developments, and customer shifts to provide actionable market intelligence.
  • Support key accounts and cross-selling initiatives by identifying opportunities to expand business across products, applications, and regions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity and pipeline reporting while tracking progress, conversion, and expected business impact.
  • Represent Americhem with customers and at industry events to strengthen relationships, build market presence, and identify new opportunities.
